Kelsey Harney selected by the Lauren A. Horger Soccer Foundation as the
2011 Winner of the Lauren’s Spirit Award Scholarship
Cibola High School Senior Forward, Kelsey Harney was selected as the 2011 recipient of the Lauren’s Spirit Award Scholarship and Trophy. Kelsey is a senior scholar athlete at Cibola High School and first team all District 1-5A soccer player. She is a 4-year member and co-captain of the girl’s Cibola High School Varsity soccer team. She competed along with her teammates in this year's State High School Soccer Championship tournament.
Kelsey received a $500 scholarship check to help her future educational endeavors. Also, her name is being placed on a permanent memorial trophy that will be on display at Cibola High School. The scholarship and trophy were presented by the Lauren A. Horger Soccer Foundation on Saturday, November 16, 2011 at the Cibola High School Girls Soccer Banquet in Lauren’s memory.
Kelsey's older sister Jordyn, a 2010 graduate of Cibola High School was the 2009 recipient of the Lauren's Spirit Award Scholarship and trophy.
