Jordyn Harney Selected by the Lauren A. Horger Soccer Foundation as the

2009 Winner of the Lauren’s Spirit Award Scholarship

Cibola High School Senior Mid-Fielder, Jordyn Harney was selected as the 2009 recipient of the Lauren’s Spirit Award Scholarship and Trophy. Jordyn, a senior scholar athlete at Cibola High School, is a 4-year member of the girl’s Varsity soccer team. As the captain of her team, she recently helped lead her teammates to the State High School Soccer Championship tournament. Jordyn received a $500 scholarship check to help her future educational endeavors. Also, her name is being placed on a permanent memorial trophy that will be on display at Cibola High School.

The scholarship and trophy were presented by the Lauren A. Horger Soccer Foundation on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the Cibola High School Girls Soccer Banquet in Lauren’s memory.

Jordyn is graduating in May, 2010.She has been accepted to the University of Tampa and will play soccer for their team, the Spartans. We congratulate Jordyn on her exemplary leadership on and off the field. According to her Coach, David Disko, Jordyn sets the bar high for her teammates and classmates to be their best and give their best in all they do. We are very proud of Jordyn because of all her accomplishments and wish her the best as she heads off to college and opportunities to advance her soccer career!
